thoughts on my rational argument

 My Rational Argument is on Climate Change. 




    For my Rational Argument, I chose to write about how climate change is real and getting worse daily. I provided scientific evidence, of the economic, social, and ethical dilemmas climate change has on our world.

    I just recently began to truly care about climate change after this paper. I never really took the time to educate myself on how serious and negative the effects are. I feel as if I'm witnessing it right before my eyes because it is December 11th, and there is no show! normally it begins to snow end of October/early November, but because of how polluted the air is getting, there is less and less snow every winter. I feel like some negative effects are necessary because stopping them will hurt the economy greatly, but many unnecessary and easily avoidable things can be done to improve climate change.

something that I saw while researching about climate change that can be used as motivation is the effects it has on the less fortunate and homeless communities. climate change causes extreme weather events that can destroy fragile homes and cause many to become homeless. most of the time, people don't choose to be homeless and try everything they can, but if we can make a difference and make that process a little easier for them it can make a huge difference.

For an open topic, I have to choose my dog cappuccino! Cappuccino, or "Chino" is my best friend and my sister! being an only child was pretty tough growing up and I got lonely at times but on Christmas in second grade when I met her for the first time I knew my life changed. we got cappuccino when she was only 4 weeks old and I was 7 so we grew up together and I wouldn't trade it for the world. we named her cappuccino because she is a light brown color just like the coffee with some white on the top of her head and white paws. it kind of looks like she walked in froth! we are also a very Italian family so it was pretty on brand!  I bought Chino a backpack to ride in and I love it because I can take her everywhere I go! she tore her ACL but we love going on adventures so it was a great fix. she got surgery now but she still loves to ride in he backpack like the princess she is.

my favorite food

     Food brings me so much joy and always has new things to discover. Of all the food I have tried, these are my favorites: The vodka pasta from Mio Modo in St. Charles, the veggie combo sushi roll from Jewel Osco, and the margarita pizza from Elios in Addison.  I like the vodka pasta from Mio Modo because it has a sweeter taste while still having the savory flavor of the vodka sauce. the sauce is very creamy and thick because of all the cheese that is perfectly mixed in. They then top it off with parsley which not only adds to the look but a subtle flavor. My second favorite dish being sushi is very ironic because I am allergic to sushi. The veggie sushi that I am referring to obviously doesn't contain any raw fish. It has avocado, carrots, and cucumber. this is normally all that is in veggie sushi rolls, but at Jewel Osco, they put sweet soy, and sriracha sauce drizzled on top, and then crunchy onions on top. Week 2 Assignment

  WEEK 2  Q: post your current favorite image from your smartphone and write why you like it A: My current favorite image on my smartphone is a very recent picture. It was taken a few days after i moved into my college dorm and gained full independence over my choices!  It was around 4:00 pm when my roommate saw that one of our favorite bands, the Lumineers, were playing in Milwaukee, 2 hours away. normally, this information would be useless because we were under our parents roofs and talking them into it would have taken too long, but this was different. we were able to decide for ourselves that we were going to go and it felt awesome. this picture was taken after the concert and i feel that it radiates pure joy and happiness. in the photo, the bright colors above us pop and amplify the positive energy. the people behiemd us aere moving, but we are stopped, enjoying the moment with big smiles.
